Detailed Description

template<int dim, int spacedim = dim>
struct hp::FECollection< dim, spacedim >::DefaultHierarchy

Whenever p-adaptivity is considered in an hp-finite element program, a hierarchy of finite elements needs to be established to determine succeeding finite elements for refinement and preceding ones for coarsening.

In this struct, we supply a hierarchy that is imposed on all FECollection objects by default.

Member Function Documentation

◆ next_index()

template<int dim, int spacedim = dim>
static unsigned int hp::FECollection< dim, spacedim >::DefaultHierarchy::next_index ( const typename hp::FECollection< dim, spacedim > & fe_collection,
const unsigned int fe_index )
inlinestatic

Return the index succeeding fe_index in the fe_collection.

Once the last element of the fe_collection is reached, there is no element on a higher level in the hierarchy and thus we return the last value.

Definition at line 81 of file fe_collection.h.

◆ previous_index()

template<int dim, int spacedim = dim>
static unsigned int hp::FECollection< dim, spacedim >::DefaultHierarchy::previous_index ( const typename hp::FECollection< dim, spacedim > & fe_collection,
const unsigned int fe_index )
inlinestatic

Return the index preceding fe_index in the fe_collection.

Once the first element of the fe_collection is reached, there is no element on a lower level in the hierarchy and thus we return the first value.

Definition at line 95 of file fe_collection.h.
